The origin story begins within a collapsed metropolitan system known as the Fracture City Index, an engineered megastructure once built to stabilize overlapping urban layers across parallel timelines. When the system fails, reality does not simply break. It enters a state of phase instability where architecture, memory, and identity begin to misalign and continuously reassemble into unstable formations. From this rupture emerges the Phasewalkers.
